Mechanical seal for kettle Technical requirements for use
The seal ring is the general name of dynamic ring and static ring (the same below), and is the most important component of mechanical seal. To a great extent, seal ring determines the service performance and life of mechanical seal, so some requirements are put forward for it.
Sufficient strength and rigidity
It shall not be damaged under working conditions (such as pressure, temperature, sliding speed, etc.), and the deformation shall be as small as possible, so as to maintain the tightness when working conditions fluctuate. In particular, the sealing face should have sufficient strength and certain corrosion resistance to ensure that the product has a satisfactory service life.
Good thermal shock resistance
For this reason, the material is required to have a high thermal conductivity and a small coefficient of linear expansion, so that it will not crack under thermal shock.
Small friction coefficient
The sealing ring shall be matched with a smaller friction coefficient.
Good self-lubricating property
If dry friction occurs for a short time during operation, the sealing face will not be damaged. Therefore, the sealing ring should have good self-lubricating property, and the sealing ring material and sealing fluid should also have good wettability.
Simple structure
The sealing ring structure shall be simple and symmetrical as far as possible. The integral structure is preferred, and the combined (such as embedded) sealing ring can also be used. The spraying structure of the sealing end face shall be avoided as far as possible.
The sealing ring shall be easy to process and manufacture
The installation and maintenance shall be convenient and cheap.
