1. Face seal pair of mechanical seal (static ring, dynamic ring)
The end face sealing pair makes the sealing surface closely fit to prevent medium leakage. It requires that the static ring and the dynamic ring have good wear resistance. The dynamic ring can move flexibly in the axial direction, automatically compensate the wear of the sealing surface, and make it fit well with the static ring; The static ring is floating and plays a buffer role. Therefore, the sealing surface shall have good processing quality to ensure that the sealing pair has good bonding performance.
2. Elastic element of mechanical seal (spring, bellows, diaphragm)
The elastic element mainly plays the role of pre tightening, compensation and buffering. It is required to always maintain enough elasticity to overcome the friction of auxiliary seal and transmission parts and inertia of moving ring, so as to ensure good fitting of end face seal pair and tracking of moving ring. The material is required to be corrosion resistant and fatigue resistant.
3. Auxiliary seal of mechanical seal (O-ring, V-ring, U-ring, wedge ring and special ring)
The auxiliary seal is mainly used to seal the static ring and the dynamic ring, as well as to float and buffer. The sealing elements of the static ring are required to ensure the sealing between the static ring and the gland and the floating of the static ring to a certain extent, while the sealing elements of the dynamic ring can ensure the sealing between the dynamic ring and the shaft or shaft sleeve and the floating of the dynamic ring. The material shall be heat-resistant, cold resistant and compatible with the medium.
4. Transmission part of mechanical seal (transmission pin, transmission ring, transmission seat, transmission key, transmission lug or tooth embedded coupling)
The transmission part transmits the torque of the shaft to the moving ring. The material shall be wear-resistant and corrosion resistant.
5. Fasteners of mechanical seals (set screw, spring seat, gland, assembly sleeve, shaft sleeve)
Fasteners are used to locate and fasten static and dynamic rings. The axial positioning shall be correct to ensure a certain amount of spring compression, so that the sealing surface of the sealing pair is in the correct position and keeps a good fit. At the same time, it is required to be easy to assemble and disassemble, easy to place, and reusable. The installation of the seal ring at the fitting place with the auxiliary seal shall have the guide chamfer and the amount of compression. Special attention shall be paid to the requirements of wear resistance and corrosion resistance at the fitting place between the auxiliary seal of the moving ring and the shaft sleeve. If necessary, the hard surface coating can be used at the fitting place with the shaft sleeve.
6. Anti rotation part (anti rotation pin) of mechanical seal
The anti rotation part is to prevent the stationary ring from rotating and coming out. It is required to have sufficient length to prevent the static ring from falling out under negative pressure, and it is required to position correctly to prevent the static ring from rotating with the moving ring. The material shall be corrosion resistant. If necessary, a tetrafluoroethylene sleeve can be added in the middle to avoid damaging the carbon graphite stationary ring.
