Mechanical seal for kettle Why use auxiliary facilities?
In fluid machinery (such as pumps, compressors, agitators, centrifuges, etc.), the most demanding parts of mechanical seals for pumps under working conditions are mechanical seals. Bearing axial force like thrust bearing; Export the heat generated like a heat exchanger. It is difficult to realize static seal at high temperature, high pressure, easy corrosion and other parts. It is even more difficult to realize dynamic seal on the sealing face several millimeters wide during high-speed rotation. In order to solve this thorny problem, after long-term practice in Laos, people have found two ways: first, starting from the structure and materials of the seal, to make its kettle mechanical seal adapt to harsh working conditions. The cost of this approach is high. However, it still cannot fundamentally solve the problem.
Once the seal fails, the consequences will be serious. The other way is to improve the working environment through auxiliary facilities. At present, the mechanical seal without any auxiliary facilities in actual work is rare. For example, the series mechanical seal used for high pressure and the mechanical seal of high-temperature pump must use corresponding auxiliary facilities. Through auxiliary facilities, some harsh working environment is changed to be acceptable for sealing, so that the effect of mechanical seal is greatly improved and the application range is wider. The friction heat generated in the operation of mechanical seal will raise the temperature of seal face. If no corresponding facilities are adopted, many adverse consequences will occur.
