Cartridge seal is also a kind of Cartridge mechanical seal 。 The static ring, moving ring, shaft sleeve, gland and auxiliary seal of this kind of seal are assembled together with a shaft sleeve before installation to facilitate inspection of assembly quality. After passing the inspection, just close the cover and tighten the screws. Such pre assembled, inspected and tested sealing components can easily ensure the installation and assembly quality. This cartridge seal has the following characteristics:

(1) It is unnecessary to measure the seal working length during installation;

(2) The shaft can be adjusted at any time;

(3) There will be no leakage during startup, because the seals have been tested in advance;

(4) During installation, it is only necessary to set the tight cover bolts, and the assembly quality is easy to ensure;

(5) Before installation or startup, protect the sealing surface from sundries or damage due to misoperation;

(6) The mechanical equipment can be readjusted after thermal expansion;

(7) Self centering can be achieved by matching;

(8) It is easy to take out the seals for cleaning and inspection without dismantling the pump equipment. The API682 standard recommends that all mechanical seals use cartridge mechanical seals.
