The mechanical seal ring is a sealing machine equipment composed of two sealing components (static ring and dynamic ring), which are vertically split, bright and vertical surfaces that meet each other, and do a good job of relative overturning. It is based on the working pressure of the sealing medium to generate an appropriate clamping force on the contact surface (inner hole) of the rotating dynamic ring and static ring, so that the two inner holes are closely connected. The mechanical seal between the inner holes holds an extra thin liquid film to reach the sealing purpose. This layer of liquid membrane mechanical seal has liquid dynamic working pressure and static working pressure, playing a practical presentation of smooth and clean balance.

When the mechanical seal ring is working, the axial force caused by the working pressure of the sealing liquid and the elasticity of the elastic element makes the moving ring warehouse rings stick together with each other at a relative speed. Because the two inner seal holes cooperate with each other, a tiny gap is generated at the junction (seal page) between the inner seal holes. When the pressure medium is based on this gap, an extra thin liquid film is generated, It causes friction resistance and prevents medium leakage. In addition, the liquid film promotes the inner hole to be moistened, resulting in long-term sealing.

What are the common leakage locations of mechanical seal rings?

1. Static seal leakage: leakage between sealing pairs, such as leakage of flange, crimp and other fusion surfaces;

2. Dynamic seal leakage: leakage between sealing pairs, such as leakage between shaft seats, filling material rooms, dynamic seals between dynamic rings and static rings;

3. Leakage of shut-off parts: leakage between shut-off parts (gate valves, valves, plunger pumps, etc.) and shut-off seats;

4. Self leakage: leakage caused by raw materials such as cover, wall thickness, oil way plate, hull, dam body, etc;

Preparations before start-up of quick mounted mechanical seal ring:

1. Check whether the mechanical seal, its attached equipment and pipeline installation are complete and meet the technical standards in all aspects.

2. Before starting the mechanical seal, carry out static pressure test to check whether the mechanical seal has leakage. If there are many leaks, find out the reason and try to clean them. If it still fails, it shall be disassembled, inspected and reassembled. The working pressure of general static pressure test is 2~3 kg/cm3.

3. Switch off according to the rotation direction of the pump to check whether it is happy and symmetrical. If the brake is hard or does not move, check whether the installation specification is incorrect and whether the installation is effective.
