How to correctly install single end face Mechanical seal for kettle
The installation sequence of mechanical seals can be carried out in a certain order after the installation preparation is completed, to complete the installation of static parts in the end cover and rotating parts on the shaft, and to complete the overall assembly installation of seals. Taking the single end built-in non-equilibrium mechanical seal for centrifugal pump shown in Figure 1 as an example, the installation sequence is as follows:
1. Installation of static parts
Insert the anti rotation pin (1) into the corresponding hole of the seal end cover, and then insert the auxiliary seal ring (2) of the stationary ring from the tail of the stationary ring (3). If a V-ring is used, pay attention to its installation direction. If an O-ring is used, do not roll. Then, align the anti rotation pin groove on the back of the stationary ring with the anti rotation pin and install it into the seal end cover. The height of the anti rotation pin should be appropriate, and a gap of 1~2mm should be reserved with the stationary ring. Do not top the stationary ring. Measure the distance A from the end face of the stationary ring to the end face of the seal end cover. After the stationary ring is installed in the end cover, check the perpendicularity of the seal end face and the center line of the end cover and the flatness of the seal end face. For pumps conveying liquid hydrocarbon media, the perpendicularity error shall not be greater than 0.02mm, and oil and other media can be controlled within 0.04mm.
