1. Type 212 is a single end polytetrafluoroethylene bellows partially balanced mechanical seal. The mechanical seal is integrated with the temperature regulator and is equipped with auxiliary support PTFE bushing The dynamic ring and the static ring are two components, and their precision requirements are very high. Therefore, the technical requirements and work quality in the field installation and commissioning process should be strictly controlled, which is an extremely important link. Therefore, the on-site installation work procedures and key points must be carefully achieved.

2. First, meet the requirements specified in 3.1 of this section, and then install according to the following procedures and key points.

3. Installation procedures and key points

1) Install the mixing shaft into the reaction kettle. The parts in the kettle on the shaft should be installed first, and the shaft diameter of the mechanical seal should be exposed from the flange of the kettle mouth;

2) Put the sealing gasket of the temperature regulator on the correct position of the cauldron flange (asbestos or polytetrafluoroethylene gasket can be used as the gasket);

3) Put the temperature regulator in place at the correct position of the cauldron flange through the mixing shaft, thread the connecting bolt into the hole and screw on the nut, and tighten it slightly by hand;

4) Install the stationary ring O-ring between the flange spigot on the thermostat and the bushing flange, be careful not to damage the O-ring during installation, press it in with fingers, and then sleeve the stationary ring on the outer circle of the bushing boss and place the stationary ring on the stationary ring flange surface;

5) Install the stationary ring gland on the stationary ring, screw on the compression screw, and tighten it slightly by hand;

6) Carefully drop the moving ring assembly onto the stationary ring through the mixing shaft (the moving ring assembly consists of bellows, spring seat, spring, half ring and O-ring). During installation, the sealing faces of the moving and stationary rings should be coated with a layer of clean lubricating oil film with clean fingers. The mixing shaft and O-ring should also be coated with clean lubricant for smooth installation, Pay attention to pushing the components down with hand force during installation. Hammering is strictly prohibited. When going down, it is not allowed to collide with the sealing face of the stationary ring to avoid damaging the sealing face;

7) Installation frame - connection of mixing shaft and supporting point of frame with fulcrum - reducer - connection of coupling - parts not yet installed in the kettle. All parts and components shall be fastened firmly and reliably.

8) Note: The installation of the rack shall ensure that its axis line is perpendicular to the flange plane of the kettle mouth; The axis of the output shaft of the reducer and the axis of the mixing shaft shall be aligned. See the "Rack Operation Manual" for the coaxiality tolerance. The coupling can be installed after alignment;

9) Next, the work left behind is to press the bolts of the thermostat and the cauldron flange and the screws of the stationary ring gland tightly. Attention should be paid to gradually and evenly tightening in the relative directions of the circumference during the pressing process. This work is extremely important. It is to ensure that the sealing end face of the stationary ring is perpendicular to the axis, otherwise it will affect the sealing performance;

10) Under the condition that the sealing surfaces of the dynamic and static rings are fitted together, the upper half ring can be initially tightened after the half ring is pressed down evenly with the force of hand around the circumference to a distance approximately within the specified range;

11) Install the fixed ring above the half ring, and wrap the rubber gasket between the outer circle of the mixing shaft and the inner hole of the fixed ring, then tighten the fixed ring and use the three set screws on the fixed ring to adjust the spacing of the moving ring to meet the requirements of Figure 4, and check that all points on the circumference should be uniform, and then tighten the half ring;

12) Rotate the motor shaft by hand to make the mixing shaft rotate slowly for several circles. The rotation should be flexible and normal, and the commissioning test can be carried out only after there is no other abnormal phenomenon such as clamping stagnation (see Section 4 of this manual for the commissioning test work, and note that it is not allowed to start running at this time;

13) Connect the cooling water pipe of the thermostat.
